Paradise Point in
San Diego is a new venue for us, a pleasant resort on a small island in the
middle of Mission Bay, isolated but minutes away from the city, Balboa
Park and its many attractions (zoo, plazas and museums), an increasingly
active downtown with a growing restaurant culture, Mission Beach with
its standing wave and amusement park, Pacific Beach with numerous tattoo
options, and La Jolla, for strolling and shopping and bar-hopping.
Paradise Point has a sort of faux-Hawaiian style, but pulls it off, with
lodging in detatched casitas, three restaurants and bars, several
swimming pools, and a dock for water sports-- and ample meeting
facilities.
