It is our pleasure to invite you to the 1st International Scientific Meeting exclusively dedicated to cerebrotendinous xanthomatosis (CTX) on behalf of the CTX Alliance and the organizing committee. Our goal is to catalyze much-needed international research and clinical collaborations for CTX and to advance our understanding for improved outcomes for CTX patients and families.

The CTX International Scientific Meeting will be held in Jerusalem, Israel August 27th through 28th, 2023. Please see meeting agenda and registration details at CTX International Scientific Meeting.

Our comprehensive meeting agenda features lectures and discussions from renowned CTX researchers, medical professionals, and patient advocacy group leaders from approximately a dozen countries. Never has there been an international gathering of this many CTX experts at one meeting. We are honored and excited to provide this opportunity to foster international collaboration for this rare disease.

This meeting is being held as a satellite meeting prior to the 2023 SSIEM Annual Symposium August 29th through September 1st, 2023. The CTX Alliance is grateful to the SSIEM for providing the opportunity to host this meeting and registration is open to all stakeholders, including patients and industry representatives. We anticipate many of our attendees will be leaders in patient care, biochemical and genetic diagnosis, research, nutrition, pharmacy, allied health professionals, and palliative care. It is our intention to make attending this satellite CTX meeting a convenient and educational opportunity for those already attending the SSIEM meeting.

A poster session on Sunday evening, August 27th with travel awards available for trainee/junior faculty is a highlight. Please let your trainees who may want to present (undergraduates, graduate students, and post-docs/fellows and residents, or faculty who recently completed training) know about the travel awards and encourage abstract submissions at abstract submission page. We would also appreciate it if you can please forward information about this meeting to collaborators, colleagues and professional or patient advocacy organizations you think may be interested.

We look forward to meeting you in Jerusalem!

Best wishes and kind regards,
