ATTENDEES: When you are ready to register, please select the Register link. The registration fee will allow access to all sessions, including the ACMG/SIMD joint session, the opening reception, the poster session, the abstract book and program.

Early Bird Registration deadline is January 15, 2019.  The registration fee increases on January 16, 2019 and then again on March 1st.

ACMG/SIMD Joint Session:  The ACMG/SIMD joint session will be held at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA on April 6th starting at 10:30am.  You will need your SIMD name badge in order to get into the joint session so make sure you pick up your registration packet at the SIMD Registration desk at the Hyatt Regency Hotel before the joint session. The registration booth at the Hyatt will be open from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, April 5th and starting at 7:30am on Saturday, April 6th.  (If you are already attending the ACMG annual meeting, this session is included and you will be able to get in with your ACMG badge).

Shuttle Service for ACMG/SIMD joint session:  There will be shuttle service on April 6th from the Hyatt Regency Hotel to the Washington State Convention Center and back to the Hyatt for people attending the joint ACMG/SIMD joint session.  You will receive more information at the SIMD registration desk.  Please also see information posted here.

For people attending the annual meeting of the ACMG AND the SIMD meeting, you will need to move to the Hyatt Regency Hotel on April 6th.  Please indicate, during the registration process, if you require shuttle transportation from  Seattle to Bellevue.

ACMG SPECIAL DISCOUNTED REGISTRATION RATE FOR SIMD ATTENDEES:  A special registration fee of $250 will be offered to SIMD attendees to attend ACMG sessions, posters and exhibits on Friday, April 5th and ACMG morning concurrent sessions on Saturday, April 6th.  This rate is for attendees that are not registering in full for the ACMG annual meeting but will be attending the SIMD meeting. SPEAKERS: You will receive complimentary registration but you do need to register for the meeting through the SIMD website.  Please contact Leslie Lublink (leslie.lublink@gmail.com) to obtain the access code for the complimentary registration if you have not already received it.

REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY:  Cancellations must be submitted in writing. All cancellations must be received by March 15, 2019 to be eligible for a full refund. After that time there will be a nonrefundable processing fee of $100. Cancellation notices should be sent via fax: (503-210-1511) or email (leslie.lublink@gmail.com). After the deadline, in cases of emergency, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

3) HOUSING:
You are responsible for making your hotel reservations. Please check the link Venue and Accomodations. The housing deadline is March 15th, 2019 to receive the group discount. Please make your hotel reservations early. NOTE: If you are attending the ACMG meeting you will need to move to the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Bellevue to attend the SIMD meeting. The hotels are 9 miles apart and there will be no shuttle service to and from the hotels.
Hotel cancellation policy: Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance of your reservation.

4) MEALS/RECEPTIONS:
Complimentary breakfast will be provided on April 7,8th & 9th and lunch will be provided on April 7th. There is an optional dinner April 7th for the price of $75.00. The menu can be found here. The price for children is: 0-3 Free; 3-11 yo $29 and 12 and older $75. You can purchase this optional dinner during the registration process. You will have an opportunity to enjoy the many restaurants around the area for other meals.

RECEPTIONS: The opening reception will be held on Saturday evening April 6th from 7:00-10:00pm at the Hyatt Regency. Hors d'oeuvre, beer and wine will be served. We will also have an attended poster session with exhibits open on Sunday, April 7th from 7:00- 9:30pm with dessert, beer and wine.

5) TRAVEL AWARDS FOR TRAINEES, FELLOWS AND JUNIOR FACULTY
In order to promote the interest of young scientists in the field of inherited metabolic disorders, we offer a reduced registration fee for trainees and fellows. This year we will be offering 12 travel awards in the amount of $1,000. Travel awards are available for students and trainees at any level (doctoral, post-doctoral, resident, fellow, etc.). A limited number of travel awards are also available for junior faculty (instructor or assistant professor or equivalent level, within 5 years of beginning your first faculty position). Individuals who wish to compete for these awards must submit an abstract (on-line), and also have a letter from a sponsor sent to Leslie Lublink via email (leslie.lublink@gmail.com) or fax (503-210-1511) when the abstract is submitted. The support letter for junior faculty should affirm that the applicant is within the first five years of a faculty rank. Trainee travel award recipients are automatically considered for the Founder's Award competition at the meeting.

5) ABSTRACTS:
All abstracts are to be submitted on line through the SIMD website. There is no limit on the number of abstracts an individual may submit; however an individual must be first author on only one abstract. If your abstract is accepted for a travel award you will either be selected to give a 10 min oral presentation on Sunday, April 7th or present a poster which will be on displayed the entire meeting. Abstracts for travel awards are due by November 10th, 2018. You will be notified by November 28th, 2018 if your abstract has been selected for a travel award. If you are not selected for a travel award you will still have the option to present a poster at the meeting. Abstracts for poster presentation are due by November 2528, 2018 (aside from abstracts for Travel Awards, which are due earlier). Confirmation of submission, acceptance and/or rejection will be communicated via email by January 5, 2019. The abstracts are to be submitted electronically (See instructions for abstract submission--When you are entering the abstract, select the radio button for Travel Award.)

7) SATELLITE SESSION Alternatively, there is a satellite session on Cerebral Creatine Deficiency Syndromes hosted with the Association for Creatine Deficiencies on the afternoon of Monday, April 8.
